What Is Lift Access Control System ?

Lift access control system helps to restrict the unauthorised users and keep control over each entry to the lift with floor visit monitoring. This automatic lift card reader or biometric fingerprint scanning system can be installed in any lift at lop or cop level for the security of the elevators and lift car secure and it restricts unwilling and unwanted users.


This system provides complete control to the owner for creating lift entry cards along with lift entry pin passwords number entry or bio-metric finger face detection to the office home or flat owners and their associates. There are different types of lift access control systems available in the market.

Elevators are much more common in different buildings that are either shorter or low-volume. Lift access control system has a configuration that includes a public elevator, in the sense that anyone can get an elevator by pressing the call button. However, once they enter inside, passengers will need to do a card reading, which allows them access to particular floors. This setup typically has a call button. The elevator access control groups have programs for specific floors to unlock based on the presented credential, and also define how long the buttons can be pressed after you have presented the card.

The private elevator access control is the opposite of the case above. In this configuration, only a passenger who has verified credentials is able to call for the elevator. After entering the elevator, the person will be able to select any floor to access. This setup needs a reader in the lobby, as opposed to a call button, which allows cardholders to call a private elevator.

This is a combined configuration and offers added security. A passenger requires a card read to call the elevator, he will also need to do a card read once he enters the elevator. This will give him access to particular floors which his credentials allow for. This is how the lift access system works.
