The movement of foot traffic around an office building contributes a lot towards the productivity of the offices within the building. The smart access control systems allow restricted access to specific floors at specific times. An ID can be assigned to employees who are granted access to the floor, depending on their shifts. To keep the public out of restricted areas, the lobby elevators can be programmed to lock and unlock at specific times during the day. The access control systems also make the building management more cost-effective by eliminating the need to hire elevator security guards and lift operators.
